The stone walls in the Adirondack's
on our way toward the mountains, we accidentally stumbled across the towering stone walls of Dannemora. For a split second, it looked like some forgotten castle hidden in the Adirondacks. Then the reality of what it actually was settled in heavily. What started as a beautiful drive through spring mountains quickly turned into one of the strangest feelings I’ve had in a long time.

We Didn’t Plan This… But It Led to Rainbow Falls and a hike in the Adirondack Mountains
Nearly every weekend we go for a little drive. We don’t plan it, we don’t go prepared, just grab a few diapers for little Emerald, a few snacks for us and we hit the road for a few hours. I absolutely love it. When I was a kid we did the same thing and I remember having some of the best conversations as a family while my dad pretended he was lost.
