Emerald's 8th letter + Good Emerald Day

Dear Emerald, 

I haven't written anything in a little bit. Not because I don't have a lot to say but mainly because once all of these letters are put into one book or whatever I decide to do with them I don't want it to be too overwhelming for you to look through. After all, you won't even be 2 months old for another 10 days and I plan on doing this until you are 18. Then I'll give you all of the letters in book form or something of the sorts. This is letter 7 I believe. 

What I want to say is; I love you. 

Words can't describe you. 

You are every mistake I ever made, corrected. 

You are every tear I ever had turned into laughter.

You are every heartbreak I ever had turned into pure love.

You are everything I have ever lost and now is found. 

You are another chance that I probably didn't deserve. 

You are every lonely feeling turned into wholeness. 

You are every dark time turned into light. 

You are everything. 

You, Emerald are so loved. I want you to know that in your subconscious, consciousness, heart, and soul! 

I caught myself doing the whole baby talk; when you got upset a little I would say, "poor girl what is wrong?" 

I don't do that anymore. I haven't since the third or fourth time. It dawned on me how we are conditioning our babies from birth. Now I say, "awww, what is right you rich girl!" I say it excitedly and pick you up. 

"You have an exciting and rich life!" I say. 

Dad does it too. 

Dad will hold you and your tummy is a little gassy and he says, "what is right Baby Emerald?" 

In this world our words hold power. We don't want to condition you to things that are untrue before you can even roll over.

When you wake up I greet you with excitement! "Good Emerald day!" I say and usually you smile. I processed to tell you, "you are beautiful, you are loved, you are Emerald Reign and can do anything, you are so happy, you are so content, you are so smart, you are Emerald Reign and everything works perfectly for you!" I do this every morning and a few times throughout the day. Your dad does this too! We want you to know you are always heard, your needs are met no matter how small they are and you are loved beyond the word love. 

I'm not telling you this to toot my own horn. I'm by far an exceptional person or mother. I'm only myself. I will eventually tell you things that will make you mad, I'll eventually hurt your heart with my own truth when you are age appropriate, and I'll disappoint you I'm sure. 

I'm telling you this because it is all true. You are the most amazing gift I could have ever asked for and grateful can't describe my feelings. I'm positive your dad feels the same way. He always wanted a child, a baby girl, here you are. The thing your father was eventually convinced he wouldn't be able to have now gives him so much peace. He actually forgot to set his alarm for work the other day because you fell asleep on his chest; he forgot about alarms or the awful real world. He was late for work not because you kept him up but because you relaxed him so deeply. It is amazing to see and I love it. 

Once you read this you'll be an adult. I hope with all of my soul that your childhood was good to you, that your dad and I was able to do all of the things we intended and we didn't have to compromise. I want you to know that no matter what there was a time in your life when everything was perfect. You haven't cried it out, you are always heard. You haven't slept alone, you are never alone. You take baths with mommy and we splash. Well, I splash and you calmly sit in my lap with your little legs in the water while you listen to me horribly sing, "splish splash Emerald is taking a bath!" It is absolutely ridiculous but I love it and you seem to have fun. The cold weather is creeping in very slowly but I still take you outside, you absolutely love the sunshine. You are so perfect Emerald. We love you. Anyone that knows Emerald Reign absolutely loves you. You are nursing right now, skin on skin. Dad will come up soon, you'll be asleep and he will take you from me so he can have cuddles. He will tell you, "daddy loves you!" He will watch whatever homesteading thing I found on YouTube and he will get so sleepy. He won't want to put you back in my arms to sleep but he will. We will both fall asleep with you snuggled up in our bed, safe, full of milk, full of love, full of content.
